Native trees that survive the desert

We plant Khejri, Neem, Rohida, Jaal, Kair and other native species chosen for the dry soil of Sri Ganganagar district, and we keep watering and guarding them after planting day.

  • Locations suggested by villages, schools and panchayats
  • Tree guards and regular watering rounds
  • Native species only. Nothing that dies in the first summer.

Good books sit unread on shelves in many homes. We collect them and give them to children in government schools and village community libraries, where every book is marked Not for sale.

Only native species that survive the dry Rajasthan climate: Khejri (खेजड़ी), Neem (नीम), Rohida (रोहिड़ा), Jaal (पीलू), Kair (केर), Shisham (शीशम), Bordi (बोरडी) and Ardu (अरडू).

Where do you work?

In and around Gharsana and across District Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, at locations suggested by villagers, schools and panchayats.
